The Stock Exchange Palace is a historical building. The palace was built in the 19th century by the city's Commercial Association
It is located in the Infante D. Henrique Square in the historical centre of Porto.
The Church of Saint Francis (built circa 1530s) is the most prominent Gothic monument in Porto.
A fire, caused by the siege of Porto in 1832, destroyed the old cloisters. In its place, the Commercial Association of the city built the Stock Exchange Palace.
